“Rachel taught me to embrace what my body feels…”
I consulted with Rachel on some life’s issues and again, she’s awesome. I’ve been challenging myself to stay present and it’s not easy. I love Rachel’s blogs so I’ve been challenging myself everyday to write 30 things I’m grateful for. This helps with keeping me grounded.
I had an issue with staying busy to avoid feeling or being in the moment. It was my version of fight or flee. Rachel taught me to embrace what my body feels and to understand those vibrations so if they ever come again, I’d be mentally and physically aware. She also taught me that it’s okay to not want to sit with those feelings, but to at least recognize them and what they are and what they mean.
“It feels like a profound change”
During my session, I felt internal barriers come down and I started seeing a lot of connections I hadn’t understood before. I continued having some strong emotional moments afterwards that have been challenging, but it feels good to finally address feelings I had stuffed down for so long. Thank you for “opening the floodgates”. It feels like a profound change.
“Her accepting manner creates a bubble of safety and trust”
I don’t think it matters what approach Rachel takes to help people. Her accepting manner creates a bubble of safety and trust that people automatically respond to.

“I’ve been able to make clearer decisions about my life”
I had never experienced MindBodyWise prior to my session with Rachel and I wasn’t sure what to expect. Rachel immediately made me feel at ease and supported throughout the session. Her selected MindBodyWise poses during my session were indicative of her high level of expertise within this field and her calm presence allowed me to examine my past and present challenges with a fresh perspective.
Since the session, I’ve maintained this new point-of-view and I’ve been able to make clearer decisions about my life because of it. I am very excited to continue the practice of MindBodyWise therapy with Rachel!
“It helped me to realize that my first instinct is to push my hardest instead of listening to my body.”
It [the workshop] made me aware of my inner dialogue. It helped me to realize that my first instinct is to push my hardest instead of listening to my body. It also helped me realize that I’ve come a long way in that I’m aware enough to forgive myself and be compassionate.

“helped me look deep inside to see what was truly going on”
My MindBodyWise session with Rachel helped me look deep inside to see what was truly going on. In my very first session, I was able to find answers (and questions) that I had been seeking for a while. I have also already been able to make changes in my life and work towards resolution. I can’t wait to go back!

“I could expose hidden emotions that I hadn’t tapped into in a long time”
After one MindBodyWise session with Rachel, I can say that I am a believer! Rachel effectively guided me so that I could expose hidden emotions that I hadn’t tapped into in a long time. I can see how this method would help patients who have suffered trauma as well as someone who is simply on the path of self-discovery and growth. Throughout the process Rachel was extremely professional, compassionate and in tune with my experience.

“It was like a huge light bulb went on”
I had a telephone session with Rachel, having no idea what to expect… I was blown away! It was amazing how she was able to tell when I’d changed my body posture by the way my voice sounded and how what I was saying changed!Rachel was fantastic at helping me draw out insights and answers from within my mind and body. I think Rachel’s experience as a psychotherapist added a huge amount of value to the session. She was able to point out things that I hadn’t recognized myself, but as soon as she did it was like a huge light bulb went on. I had several very interesting breakthroughs and I really appreciated leaving the session with practical steps to get my life in better order.I would definitely recommend MindBodyWise therapy if you want to uncover your internal knowledge and gain valuable insights that fundamentally change your life.

“It was truly remarkable”
I just wanted to reach out and thank you again for such an eye-opening session. It was truly remarkable and I felt the effects throughout the day after our time together.I’m still processing the experience of feeling such a connection to my body and having space to free associate and explore thoughts that came up.

“I was able to go deeper quicker…to experience a profound sense of clarity…”
As someone who has always been into self-exploration, therapy has always been part of my journey. My work with Rachel was unlike anything I have ever encountered before. Through movement and talk therapy I was able to go deeper quicker. I was able to step away from my interpretations and my “story” to experience a profound sense of clarity. My work with Rachel taught me to really tune-in to my body as it has many of the answers.
“What I did and thought were healing and accepting”
Self-acceptance, self-help and being present were linked together with movement and breath. What I did and thought were healing and accepting.

“It helped me to integrate my feelings…”
I felt safe enough to explore and share. I loved the intentional creation of silence, movement and words. It helped me to integrate my feelings, as I’m usually very cerebral about my emotions.

“I am connected to my body more than ever…”
This has been an amazing and powerful experience. I feel like I own my body and I am connected to my body more than ever. At the beginning of the workshop, my body was a stranger. Now, it is my lover, my friend, my own self, my wise self. I’ve learned how to marry myself, which was something I realized I needed to do and now I am learning, practicing, and living it with your help.

“freedom to explore my own experience…”
I enjoyed the pacing of the whole workshop, the freedom to explore my own experience on my mat, in the group discussion and the focus on accepting all the awareness that arose for all the group participants.

“It taught me how to begin listening to my body’s cues…”
Thank you, Rachel, for your Free Your Mind, Free Your Body Workshop Series. It gave me wisdom I didn’t know I had. It taught me how to begin listening to my body’s cues, choosing my heart over my mind, and embracing the choices I make. If I had not taken your workshop, I’m almost certain I would’ve made some recent big life decisions based on “shoulds” rather than tuning in to what it is I truly want.

“The workshop was very therapeutic and insightful…”
The workshop was very therapeutic and insightful. You created a very safe environment to share. You really do great work. The most specific valuable insight that I walked away with, after fully experiencing it in my body, is that I have to accept who I am in the present moment to move forward.
